Andrew Bartlett QC FCI Arb elected chairman of TECBAR

Crown Office Chambers congratulates Andrew Bartlett QC and Kim Franklin on their election as Chairman and Secretary of TECBAR. We also congratulate Andrew Rigney on his election to the TECBAR committee, Andrew having served on the committee for the past three years. After a successful term as Vice-Chairman, Andrew Bartlett QC takes the chair of TECBAR, representing over three hundred specialist barristers who practise in the Technology and Construction Courts. Andrew, who took silk in 1993 and has been ranked as the top QC in construction related professional negligence for 2 years running, is a Chartered Arbitrator and heads Crown Office Chambers' Construction Adjudication Support Service. He is keen to promote the unrivalled legal expertise provided by members of TECBAR as advocates, advisers, arbitrators, adjudicators and mediators in matters arising from the construction industry. Leading construction junior, Kim Franklin has been a TECBAR committee member since 2004 and helped pioneer TECBAR's new look launched in 2006 with the publication of the innovative and well received TECBAR calendar. Well known to readers of the regular Architect's Journal legal column, she is looking forward to working with the new committee and to developing stronger links between construction barristers and those who use their services.
