Tangerine Confectionery Ltd and Veolia ES (UK) Ltd v The Queen - judgment handed down today

The Court of Appeal today handed down the long-awaited judgment in the joined appeals of Tangerine Confectionery and Veolia.

John Cooper appeared for Tangerine Confectionery and John Cooper and Harry Vann appeared for Veolia.

Mark Balysz appeared for the the Health and Safety Executive in the case of Tangerine.

The Court of Appeal agreed with the submission of the Appellant in the Tangerine appeal that the ruling of the Supreme Court in Baker v Quantum applied to the Sections 2 and 3 HSWA.
