Atomic Veterans Litigation in the Supreme Court

Michael Kent QC, Catherine Foster and Nadia Whittaker, acting on behalf of 1011 veterans who allege that they developed various injuries due to exposure to radiation during the atomic bomb tests undertaken in the South Pacific in the 1950's, obtained permission to appeal against a decision of the Court of Appeal to the effect that 9 out of the 10 test claims were statute barred.

The appeal will be heard next term on an expedited basis by a Court of 7 Judges.
