Mini pupillage

If you are thinking of applying to us, a mini-pupillage is a very good way for you to meet us and for us to get to know you. We do not formally assess mini-pupillages, although your contribution will be assessed by the barristers who you are placed with and may be considered during any subsequent application for pupillage.

The best time to apply for a mini-pupillage is during the 2nd year or early part of the final year of your law degree or CPE/GDL year. This will give you the opportunity to complete the mini-pupillage before you need to apply for pupillage.

Chambers offers a limited number of mini-pupillages throughout the year. If you are selected for a mini-pupillage, you will be invited to attend in one of the weeks below for 4 days from Tuesday to Friday:

We are inviting applications for mini-pupillages in the following weeks:

  • 30 May-2 June 2017
  • 6-9 June 2017
  • 13-16 June 2017
  • 27-30 June 2017
  • 4-7 July 2017

  • 12-15 September 2017

Applications for mini-pupillages for the above dates must be made by 31 March 2017.

You will be asked to give your preferred dates from the selected weeks offered, but it may well not be possible to accommodate each applicant's first choice.

After filling in the document please save it as a normal Word file and e-mail it to with the subject heading "Mini-Pupillage Application".
