What do we look for in a pupil?

It goes without saying that we expect applicants to have strong academic results: a minimum of a 2:1 in an undergraduate degree (whether in law or non-law).  We aim to recruit pupils who:

  • have some public speaking or mooting experience
  • demonstrate commitment to the Bar and willingness to learn
  • are interested in practising in one or more of our core areas of expertise
  • demonstrate a flair for advocacy
  • possess an ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
  • have a life and interests outside the law
