Why apply to Crown Office Chambers?

Our aim is to recruit the QCs of the future from our own pupils, so we aim to give the best possible training during pupillage, in a friendly and supportive working environment.  We offer:

  • A rounded, well-structured pupillage
  • Friendly and approachable supervisors across a range of practice areas
  • Plenty of advocacy experience in your second six
  • A clear and transparent selection process for tenancy
  • A generous remuneration package
  • A relaxed, good humoured and sociable working environment from day one

You can expect to be undertaking challenging work for your supervisors from the outset, upon which you will be given constructive feedback and helpful criticism.  You will also attend Court and we provide in-house advocacy training to prepare you for your second six.

Pupillage isn’t all about work, however, and we try our hardest to make pupillage as stress-free as possible.  During pupillage you will doubtless find yourself heading out for coffee (or something stronger) with junior members, coming along to Chambers’ Friday night drinks and attending our Christmas party.
